A2 Music Video Production: Scene List/Shot ideas

The idea of the video is to show the busker looking back over his past and where it went wrong.
To repersent this we include flashbacks in the video.
The location is brighton as it appeals to the audience we aim at (e.g students) and has a modern, urban vibe.

Busking Scene -
This scene establishes the lead singer and shows us where he is at now. He is going to be in a dull saturation and his expression a bit lost and upset. This highlights that he is not in a good place.
Close ups of this are important in order to show he is the focus point of the video. If they were an established band these shots would be important for the record label also (Goodwin's point), but we are working with a cast and so are not for that purpose.

This is an image of the location. Looking at both this and the images from the LSP video we can begin to imagine our shots.

Flashback - Performance scene

The performace/band practise's purpose is to establish the relationship of the band. The visual is to juxapose the previous and be very positive. It will show them all happily playing they're instruments enjoying themselves. We need 8 different angles of him lip syncing here.

Flashback - The Lanes/Brighton

Using images of brighton will appeal to the target audience and make the feel of the video up to date and funky. It also adds a social realistic feel, it looks at the social status of the band (location) and also shows a patrotic feeling, featuring recognisable british shots.

These show the locations of these shots. Some angle ideas have come from these images.

Flashback - Beach scene

This further adds to the urban feeling. Brighton beach is iconic. The shots should show the relationships of all band members being gelled and positive.

The view used Brighton beach in their video. These shots are good examples of what we would like to achieve. They show urban britain and also include shots of the famous peir, which will be a main location on shooting day.

Flashback - Beach with Girl

There needs to be a scene that focuses on the love between the girl and boy in the band. This scene will show them in their private lives. Its a personal shot and should be lots of close ups to see their expressions and also long shots for body language etc.
