location location location

We got together to have a discussion about the wheres and whens of the music video we will make. Now that we have the song we sat down and had a listen through and listed anything that came to mind in terms of an initial idea for any plot or storyline from the lyrics, or any places or images we thought of when hearing the music.



Looking at Goodwins points music and visual and lyrics and visual we both came up with some ideas. The music follows a pretty basic rock/pop/indie style song and so it is good to look at other videos of this genre. We looked at the videos Arctic Monkeys - Look good on the dancefloor and When the sun goes down. Both have a very english indie feel like the geometrics do but one follows a social realism and british film feeling with a story line, the other is a live performance. We would like to encourperate feelings from both videos and themes and ideas from them. However the song we have doesn't have a clear narative for a story it does use lyrics which we feel we can encourperate in sections of the video.



We think the style of music is quite unique to British groups, and this is going to be an important thing to focus on. This means the location may focus on Britain or be set in an iconic British place such as Brighton or London.
